Andrew Taylor has been a pioneer in the entertainment and new media industry for over 21 years internationally, creating many world or industry “firsts” along the way.

Since the early birth and boom of computer games in the form of bedroom developers creating games on Atari –Spectrum & Commodore machines that laid down the early foundation of the multi billion dollar computer and video games business we know today.

Andrew Taylor entered the market in 1989 selling gaming devices all across Europe to major distributors and retailers in the form of joysticks “the renowned pro 9000 range” initially for spectrum and commodore 64 users, then in 1990 bringing out the flashfire range of joysticks that went on to be the biggest selling joystick across the UK and Europe.

In 1992 he brought into the UK and Europe market place the first range of gaming joypads and accessories for the Sega Master system and Nintendo NES consoles that had just launched to huge sales and demand and changed the gaming landscape to a new world of Video Games and Consoles of today.

In 1993 Taylor created the “World’s First” fully functional and 6 fire independent fire button PC gaming Joy pad the “Phantom 2”+ .

This was a major game changer on many fronts not only in gaming but also Taylor’s own direction, the Phantom 2 + was created after a conversation with the senior producer of Super Streetfighter 2. The phantom pad was such a hit that another first took shape in the form of a major bundle deal with the pad and exclusive version of the game being sold in giant U.S. retailer Wal Mart to massive success.

Taylor quickly realised that not all developers had great commercial experience in dealing with Game & Entertainment publishers and poor development contracts and most importantly a lack of any kind of royalties, So Taylor started representing many developers cutting new and improved development contracts running into millions of dollars,

He also established Exclusive publishing deals and Third Party deals from THQ to Red Storm (Tom Clancy’s Company and the Huge Global selling franchise Rainbow Six) which Ubisoft in late 1999 – 2000 acquired for around $70 million, another first came with the entry into movie and game publishing by U.S. Giant MGM to create- license and publish entertainment content and video games from its huge catalogue and other film studios franchises it had access too.

Around the time of 2000 – 2001 Handheld games started to build, but forever looking towards next generation formats, mobile was beginning to take shape, and again with another First, Taylor was involved with a Scottish based developer that would create the very first games for the huge Asian Conglomerate Hutchison who had invested billions of dollars on the emerging 3G networks it was rolling out worldwide, the games that were produced actually showcased the handsets and the operating software and written in early advanced C++ code.

2001 – 2002 spending more and more time in the U.S. and handling various entertainment and media companies, Taylor founded a new Adult Production Studio based in LA with offices in West Hollywood and international office in Las Vegas with an eye on digital and mobile technologies.

Following on from these landmark moves, the mobile entertainment business started to really take off and the concept of anytime anywhere with mobile the development of digital products was always going to be the future of a connected world and this is where we are today and Andrew Taylor is at the heart of this new Era of delivering the right technology and sales avenues of digitally downloaded content via Physical product in store and also online and mobile apps across different devices, with the mainstream entertainment industry looking at how to move forward from its traditional business models without loosing sales and its business, we are perfectly placed to take companies into the new world and grow them be it music film or games and social networks.
